  The food was superb and very authentic. The fresh flatbread and the sauce that comes with it are an amazing addition. The portions of the mains are decent and the quality of meat and produce is obvious. The Pide was my favorite item with a side salad. The cold mezze were really good flavor wise, I would say their portion is very small to share; this can be a good dish for 1 person, or a maximum of 2, not for a table. The ambiance is good and welcoming, the turkish music is also very nice at the restaurant.

  The food was not very tasty, had a bit of disappointment in the vegetarian dish but the new owner is a very nice person. Came to our table, offered us some Turkish tea and he was very welcoming. We gave our feedback to him as well. Think he’ll make the menu and restaurant better. Best luck 🍀

  We had a fabulous meal at Yakamoz yesterday evening. Food was excellent with good sized portions. The complimentary bread straight from the oven was massive and we couldn’t eat it all. We both had Turkish casserole dishes for main course which were very tasty. All washed down with a very reasonable bottle of house red wine. Service was very friendly.

  I visited Yakamoz Turkish Restaurant today with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. The food truly has the real, authentic Turkish taste every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. You can really tell they care about quality and tradition. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a meal with family. Highly recommended if you’re looking for genuine Turkish food and great hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back!

  One of my favourite restaurants in York. Really speedy service despite it being super busy. Warm nourishing food, you can eat a lot here without feeling bloated! (Massive pro). Good value for money and the food is just amazing- defo the best Turkish restaurant in town. Great variety of dishes.
