  First time visiting York and we all wanted Indian food. We saw the award winning plaques on the wall, we thought we would be having a great meal. The chicken Tikka Masala was absolutely horrible. Had no flavor and tasted like sweet tomato sauce. The chicken briyani was dry and the ice was uncooked. The service was horrible made you feel very unwelcome. Did not clear our table and take away our dinner plates. We had to ask for our check, everything was slow and they were not even that busy. Worst Indian food us 4 have experienced.

  4 of us turned up without a reservation and staff and management could not be more welcoming. Food is excellent, waiters attentive and professional. We will definitely be back when next in York. Visited on 27/1/26

  Went here twice during our trip to York this week. Great atmosphere, plenty of people, great service, great food. Second visit was fairly late around 9:30pm and it was no problem for them to accommodate us. Can recommend the dahl, garlic naan, mushroom rice, and king prawn chilli masala dishes.

  Really good Indian restaurants in York, hands down! They offer a wonderful variety of dishes that truly capture authentic flavors. The staff is attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The owner goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. If you’re in the area, check it out!
