Another fantastic meal at Zara Mangal! We ordered the mixed grill to share and it did not disappoint. The platter was packed with a delicious variety of freshly grilled meats, all cooked to perfection. The quality and quantity for the price make it exceptional value. Tasty, reliable, and satisfying. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

We've been coming here as a family regularly ever since we moved to Watford. This is easily one of the best Turkish restaurants in the area. The food is first class. Delicious every single time. Portions are more than generous, you won't leave here feeling hungry. Prices are very reasonable and the hospitality is excellent, always a warm welcome and the chef time permitting will come to your table and check everything's alright. My favourite place to eat and relax in Watford, give this place a try if you haven't, you won't regret it.

We visited this lovely restaurant on 11 of January 2026 evening around 5, I booked by the phone, and they kept the table. We were as a group of five — one adult and four kids — to celebrate my 9-year-old son’s birthday, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. My kids were absolutely amazed by the food, which says a lot because children usually don’t notice details like presentation or quality. One of the boys even said he had never seen such a big burger in his life! But it wasn’t just the size — everything was outstanding: the sauces were delicious, the bread was perfect, the chicken was properly grilled, and the food looked beautiful on the plate. The taste matched the presentation perfectly. The portions were incredibly generous. Even though we arrived hungry, we couldn’t finish everything, so I happily asked for takeaway boxes to bring the rest home. What impressed us the most, though, was the staff. Every single person was welcoming, kind, and genuinely friendly. When I mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday and that I had brought a cake, they immediately offered to help. ❤️❤️❤️❤️They put candles on the cake and surprised us with a little celebration — coming out together, clapping, and creating such a joyful moment. It was truly touching.🎊🍰🙏🌹🎉 Because of this small but wonderful restaurant, with its amazing food and lovely people, it turned into one of the best birthday celebrations we’ve ever had. We were really, really impressed. Thank you so much — we

It was busy this evening with football fans dropping in for a pre match meal. Staff were efficient, polite and accommodating ensuring no-one waited long for a table. I ordered mixed shish (chicken and lamb) and a glass of ayran. It came with a complimentary starter and a glass of tea at the end. All very tasty and fresh, price £18.

Easily one of the most hidden treasures! If you were just walking by your impression would be ‘just another kebab shop’. However… wander inside to the restaurant where you are greeted by all the staff and welcomed inside. The staff are very friendly, have a good sense of humour and genuinely make you feel welcome. If you need more sauce, more bread or an extra napkin, not a problem! It’s been a long time since I’ve heard the phrase ‘Lovely Jubbly’, instantly setting a homely feel 😁 Ok, the important bit, the food. Oh the food! I’ve become a big fan of Turkish food recently and this did not disappoint. From the first little plate of hummus and dips that left my mouth watering so much I swear I dribbled to the MAHOOSIVE special mixed main that I swear doubled in size with every delicious mouthful, I wasn’t left wanting! Our party had a variety of dishes, each as succulent as the other. The satisfaction was as high as the prices were low, surprisingly for the exceptional quality of the food. Do yourself a favour, don’t walk on by. Stop in and tuck in, just don’t have any follow on plans as you’ll absolutely need to find a comfortable spot to enjoy a considerable food coma afterwards. Expectations exceeded!!!!
