Absolutely adore this Indians. Went today before we went to see the friends musical and Sunderland empire theatre and it did not let us down. Staff were lovely and food was unreal. I cannot go on about the naan bread anymore from how amazing it was.

First time dining at an Indian restaurant, and I left wondering why I hadn't tried it since. The food was delicious, staff first class and fast service. Will be back as soon as my schedule allows.

We hadn't been to Motiraj in a few years, we had no reason to be hesitant though, as always the service and food was excellent, at a reasonable price. The restaurant is always (Saturday night anyway) busy and the atmosphere is very good. Staff are attentive and polite, prices over the years, haven't changed that much, in relation to some establishments we've re-visited.

Great value at £16 a head Sunday early evening. Nice big glass of Pepsi. That said I’m not sure where the reviewers have eaten Indian food before but this was very bland. Firstly the blue light, whilst it sets a classy done it’s very blue (all pictures go blue) and the food is hard to see it’s colour with so much blue lighting (less is more) . A lovely restaurant inside and friendly staff. Still the food was very tasteless for tikka mossala as well as madras. A lot of black pepper was used. The portions were very generous. But overall it was underwhelming taste wise. The tikka was the same consistency as the madras?

No complaints.Perfect service and great food. My main course was Tandoori Chicken Bhuna Masalla Vinderloo Hot. Ir was busy and the service was brilliant.
