  Absolutely fantastic service from the guys at Akbars rotherham, I often travel for work and was driving past near closing time, I decided to try my luck, the owner/manager Robnawaz was absolutely fantastic and allowed me to eat a full meal inside, even though there were no customers and he could have rejected me which would have been understandable. Completely unrivalled customer service! Amazing food, the lamb chops are to die for, the king prawn karahi was delicious, garlic naan was perfectly cooked. Husnain and Faris provided amazing customer service and was instrumental in making sure I had a good experience, nothing was too much to ask for and any requests were sorted instantly (-rather than the typical waiters who float from table to table and forget what you wanted and you have to request again 10mins later) everyone was absolutely amazing, and I appreciate the food, and the amazing customer service experience. The decor is second to none, with ample parking at the venue. If I could score 6 stars all around I would! Simply brilliant.

  We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Our waiter, Jang, was really nice and welcoming - he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and kept the children happy throughout the meal. The food was superb, the atmosphere was lovely, and all the other staff were helpful and friendly as well. Well definitely be coming back!

  I recently visited Akbar’s. The reception team, waiters and all the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their service really added to the whole experience. I’ve visited other Akbar’s branches before, but I have to say the food at the Rotherham branch truly stands out, the flavours here are just amazing. Must-try dishes: Meat Chops Chapli Kabab Karahi Ghosht Chicken & Chilli Balti Pair the mains with their famous Family Naan and you have the perfect meal combo that leaves both your heart and your stomach completely full. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to visit again!

  Would give 0 if possible! Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. If Google allowed it, we would have given NO stars. We visited as a family of 12 and spent £240, and honestly it felt like a complete waste of money. The service was shocking. The waiters were unprofessional, uninterested, and had a clear attitude as if they couldn’t be bothered to serve. One waiter also had a very strong, unpleasant BO smell, Plates with food were stacked on top of each other when brought to the table completely unhygienic. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things like clean glasses, cutlery, and even a simple jug of water. They expected us to continue eating from the used plates from our appetisers until we asked for clean ones. To make things worse, one of the waiters was openly vaping where we could see and using his phone instead of paying attention to customers. It was honestly disgusting and such a let down. The food itself was very average and certainly didn’t make up for the awful service. The only good part of the night was the hot wipes at the end and that says everything. We will definitely not be returning. Terrible experience all around.
