  Wow what a place. We just stumbled across The Shahi by chance but it was absolutely excellent! Staff are genuinely very friendly and welcoming. What about the food? Absolutely delicious! One chicken shashlik and one chicken khyber and both fantastic. Great atmosphere too!

  We have just celebrated my husbands 70th Birthday here tonight. There was a party of 27. Absolutely amazing from start to finish, the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, food and service was exeptional, highly recommended. Many thanks.

  Our friends treated Mother and myself to dinner as a treat for our birthdays last month. 🥰 Shahi Palace have outdone themselves again!! 😲 We had a Roasted Poppadom each as appetisers with sauces for the table whilst we read the menu and placed our order. ☺️ I try to have something different each time I visit Shahi Palace. On this occasion I had Tandoori Duck Starter, Chef Special Mix Dhansak with Boiled Rice and Cobra Lager Main. And, to finish, Coffee, Mint Chocolates and a shot of Napoleon Brandy. 😋 I can honestly say it was the best meal I've ever had, utterly delicious!! 🥰 The Tandoori Duck was presented on a sizzling skillet and I saw a number of heads turn as it came through the restaurant thanks to the sweet and smokey smell. The Duck was full of flavour. Everyone on the table tried a piece and agreed it was stunning. 😯 I've never had a Dhansak before and was very pleased with my choice because it was sweet and creamy with hints of Coconut and Pineapple and just enough Curry heat to awaken taste buds that had been dormant. I can't recommend Shahi Palace enough. 👍🏻

  Visited on a quiet Thursday night with family. Great, attentive service. Food was lovely and such generous portions! Will definitely be back for more. Yum!

  I’ve been in and eaten at lots of Indian restaurants in my time but this one really does take some beating. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, they will cook you any meal at whatever strength and with any twist you like. I would only say I wouldn’t want it getting too popular as I might struggle to get a seat. But really, if you are looking for a quality and affordable Indian meal you have to at least try this place for yourself. You can even bring your own drinks…. What an establishment
