I've been eating at Afghan Flavours, Reading for circa 18 months now. I was introduced by my sister's friend and have kept coming back on my own, with a my sister or in small groups. It's very reliable, tasty, fresh and hot food. Family friendly. Very reasonably priced for the quality and freshness. You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Other reviews mentioning service speed need to show some patience. Freshly cooked and prepared food takes time and this is an increasingly popular establishment. I would describe as cafe style eating. Whether it's the Channa Daal, Houmous, halloumi, chicken byriani, Qabuli chicken/lamb, chicken/lamb charsi karahi, Afghan style red kidney beans, Chaplin kebab paties, chicken or lamb or mixed tikka or lamb kofta - I recommend all. For drinks would recommend mint or green tea (loose tea) or mango lassi (glass or jug) or a fresh juice. I prefer to eat in, but take away is also available. A friendly and hardworking team. Thank you for your quality food and service.

Afghan Flavours Restaurant truly exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic Afghan flavours and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was warm, stylish, and perfect for a festive gathering. We celebrated our Christmas party here, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional, making sure everything ran smoothly. It was a relaxed yet special experience, and all our guests were very impressed. A fantastic place for both casual dining and special occasions — highly recommended!

The worst experience I’ve had in London: at Afghan Flavours they refused to let me in with a service dog, which is completely illegal under the Equality Act 2010, a law that requires all establishments to allow access to people with disabilities accompanied by their service dogs without any restrictions. The lack of knowledge, professionalism, and respect for the law is absolutely unacceptable. A place that shows zero sensitivity, zero awareness, and zero interest in providing proper service. I do not recommend this place at all.

So me and my friends visited yesterday this restaurant to have dinner and we order food which after eating halfway we found the chicken still have its feathers on the skin as you can see on the pictures and this is not what someone expect when eating in a restaurant to see the chicken still has it feathers even after grilling.so I believe it’s a one star from my point of view

Everything was very fresh and really tasty! Tried the lentil soup, and a dish with the lamb kufte, lamb pieces and chicken pieces. Lovely
