I had the Banana Tree Curry. The food here is delicious, there's no question about that. The staff was nice and the atmosphere relatively quiet and relaxed on a weekday. However, I think that the portion sizes are quite small given the prices. I paid almost £19 including a 10% service charge for a relatively small portion of curry. If you like to eat a lot, there's probably better options.

We walked into the restaurant around 5pm and asked for a table. A lady told us there were no available tables and that they were fully booked until 9pm. We were disappointed because I really love Asian cuisine, so we left. While we were walking away, I decided to try booking online. My husband said it was pointless because the lady was very clear that they were fully booked, but I still tried. I was very surprised to see an available booking slot for almost 30 minutes. I booked it immediately and we went straight back. When we returned, I think the same lady recognised us. We told her we had an online booking, and we got a table, no explanation and apology from the lady. But I don’t understand why she told us they were fully booked when the restaurant was almost empty (as shown in the photo). The food was amazing, and the girl who served our food and drinks was very helpful and kind. However, the customer service from the lady who first refused us was very poor (0/10). I think the manager should speak to her, because telling customers the restaurant is “fully booked” when most tables are empty is not acceptable. If they don’t want to accept walk-in customers, this should be clearly shown online. Overall, the only good things were the food and the waitress who served us.

We wanted a light lunch where we could try a few new dishes. At Banana Tree, we ordered 3 Tuk Tucker's meal deal - Chicken in Mango & Sweet Lime Sauce, Singapore Laksa, Pad Thai, and a Chieng Mai Explorer's Tapas Set. All this for 5 of us. And for dessert, we had Coconut-stuffed Green Thai pancakes and Banana fritters. The food was exceptionally good, everything was authentic and very Asian in flavor. As a Malaysian, I am quite fussy about my curry, and I have to say the Singapore laksa hit the right spot for me. And the staff serving us, Sara, was most attentive and efficient, and made us very comfortable. Kudos to the Chef and his team for delivering such amazing Asian food. Keep up the good work !!!

I had lunch here on a solo visit and it was great! I went during a busy hour but the staff managed to find a table for me. I went for the beef rendang, fried broccoli starter with lemonade. The food tasted perfect although it was a bit less spicy for my liking. Prices were average for the location.

We came here for our anniversary meal. Food and atmosphere was amazing - nothing was too much trouble for the serving staff! Food was so delicious, we would 100% recommend the duck pancakes for starters! Staff were super friendly and attentive - we will definitely be coming back! Thank you
