We visited Eastern Eye Indian Restaurant for the first time in many years to celebrate a significant birthday, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The staff were fantastic, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, which really made the occasion feel special. The food was delicious: full of flavour, beautifully cooked, and presented so nicely. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and incredibly tasty. The restaurant itself was spotless, with a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere that made the whole evening even more enjoyable. A brilliant experience all round, and we will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended.

Massively overpriced. The lamb jalfrezi was chewy and lacked any kind of flavour. I asked for extra hot and the waiter added .50p to the cost. You couldn’t make it up. There are some excellent Indian restaurants in Plymouth. This one isn’t one of them.

I visited the Eastern Eye for the first time in a few years and it was as good as I remember it. We were there for our son-in-law's 25th birthday and attended with young children also. The staff were amazing and it was a nice change to get really great customer service instead of the usual average. The manager is charismatic and personable, and made everyone feel very welcome indeed. When it was time for the birthday cake, the entire staff came out in a procession with bongo style drums and singing happy birthday. This was both unexpected and brilliant, putting a smile on everybody's face. It was especially funny as the birthday boy was in the loo at the time so they had to stop the procession and hide in the corner, to repeat the experience a few minutes later. Everybody enjoyed the food and as a vegan myself, it was really tasty. Vegan choices are often limited in pubs/restaurants but they said that they could produce a vegan version of any dish on the menu; that's amazing service. Overall, the Eastern Eye was a great experience and I'll definitey be back.

It is the first time for me to eat Indian food. My sisters told me that Indian food cooked in UK is very good. I had my first experience at The Eastern Eye and most definitely…. They did not disappoint. They did made my first taste of Indian food a very pleasant one. I ordered a lamb dish that was their house specialty. SUPER GOOD!!! It was a take-away order. The chef was super nice to also give me the chicken version for me to taste. It was very good too. The salad and sauces were also very good. Will go back again if we do not get dinner tonight together with our tour. THANK YOU!!!

Visited on Christmas Day with my family, and had a fantastic experience. Omar, in particular, really stood out for his warmth and attentiveness, and the whole team were equally brilliant, friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Definitely highly recommended.
