Very large portions and tasty meat. The starters we took were less impressive. Kid's main was grear. Excellent quality/price ratio. Overall a great place to go with the family

I am genuinely shocked at how this restaurant has such high reviews. Shiraz in Oxford was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had especially for an Iranian restaurant. The food was extremely greasy, poor quality, and in some cases undercooked. The meat had a mushy, unpleasant texture, and what was even more alarming was that all the meats had a strange, unnatural taste even the chicken. On top of that, this place is severely overpriced for such terrible food. The salad was clearly old and not fresh at all, as if it had been prepared long before and simply served to us. The kebabs were awful: no real flavour, poorly cooked, and honestly disgusting. Portion sizes were ridiculously small for the price, offering absolutely no value for money. We chose this restaurant purely because of the high ratings, but the reality was the complete opposite. This was not just disappointing it was an insult to Iranian cuisine. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

2 weeks ago I ve discovered this gems restaurant in the heart of the vibrant city of Oxford, Cowley area. Just I sat down at a table wanted to have a coffee. The waitress, Clara asked me if I d like to try food from their Persian kitchen and she suggested me few dishes according to my taste. I had falafel, excellent presentation as in photos and a special beautiful taste. I ve ordered a vegetarian dish, a stew (112) with tofu and a mixture of herbs and red been kidney named Koresh Ghormeh Sabzi. 😋 But my favorite was the traditional Persian soup, Ash Reshteh (6), garnished with fried onion, fried mint . Absolutely divine taste! I m not a vegetarian, but that day I just wanted a vegetarian food! I never imagined that vegetarian food could be cooked so delicious till I ve tried the Shiraz veg.dishes. Superb!!! As a drink, I gave up coffee and I ve enjoyed a glass of Real yogurt with rose petals, slightly lemon juiced....Wonderful taste😋 The restaurant is simple and very nice decorated in the traditional old Persian style, with few tables outside and greens around. All the people around looked very happy and friendly, some with huge Grill platters on their tables, looking gorgeous 😍 😋. Clara, the waitress was absolutely Amazing, friendly, full of patience, explaining me all the dishes. The food was brought fast, even the restaurant was packed, being the lunch time. I left her a tip from whole my heart. I never understood people who afford to spend a lot of money for

Food was delicious, unfortunately only 2 high chairs and both in use so a little difficult with a 1yr old. Friendly service and the waitress was busy but because she was working alone. Food came out quickly and was presented nicely and arrived hot. The meat was lovely and tender! Toilets could do with some TLC, one sink not working and the other had the tap falling out the wall. Clean and tidy though. Overall happy and would recommend and return if visiting Oxford again.
