  I visited this restaurant for the first time last Saturday, and it was a lovely experience overall. The atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming, and the food was truly delicious. The only small downside was that a few of the waitresses seemed a bit distracted and didn’t always notice when we needed assistance. Aside from that, everything was great — the ambiance is wonderful and the space is nice and spacious thank you❤️

  This Turkish restaurant in Nottingham was a real surprise find considering that there is another Turkish restaurant on the opposite side of the road. We went in for a very early lunch as we hadn’t eaten any breakfast as yet. We ordered the mix platter for two as we didn’t want a heavy lunch, there were three of us, all adults. In the interim they bought us some bread and a couple of free starters before the main meal made an appearance. The starters were good although the bread was a little hard and not made on the premises. The platter did not disappoint, although the presentation wasn’t brilliant, the meat was juicy and the additions were plentiful ie: the bulgar wheat and rice. We had plenty of leftovers as takeout. And the best thing about this meal was that it did not repeat on us which was a real revelation as this has literally never happened before. Usually Turkish and Persian food has a tendency to repeat on you, this meal was absolutely delicious , wholesome, and hearty. Will definitely be visiting again.

  Had the platter at Tipoo and it was genuinely great quality food. The mixed grill came with chops, kebab, shawarma, chicken tikka and everything tasted fresh, well seasoned and cooked to order, so it felt like a fairly healthy option rather than something greasy. The bread they served at the start with dips was a highlight – warm, fresh and perfect for snacking while waiting for the mains. The rice on the platter was seasoned well with a good texture, and the meat wraps were honestly to die for. Overall, a really tasty experience and definitely a spot worth visiting if you like proper Turkish grilled meat platters.

  Today we ordered several dishes for takeaway and were very disappointed. We’ve been ordering from this restaurant for many, many years, and today’s portions turned out to be child-sized. We paid £62 for five portions. My usual dish, the vegetable kebab, was missing the sauce that always comes with it. The portion was much smaller. The portions for my daughter, son-in-law, and husband were also child-sized. I’m really disappointed. Loyal customers shouldn’t be treated this way.

  🌟 I was genuinely surprised by this dining experience! I chose this restaurant expecting a Turkish ambiance and cuisine! but what I encountered was completely different from what I imagined. 🍲 The lentil soup had an unusual taste I couldn’t quite identify… Was it the cream? The lentils? Something else entirely? 🥣 The hummus was served extremely cold, and the flavor was surprisingly plain not what I anticipated at all. 🍗 Then came the chicken doner… shockingly undercooked, almost raw. That was a major letdown. 🔥 But the biggest surprise? The mixed grill dish—unexpected and oddly flavored. I couldn’t make sense of it. If you're looking for authentic Turkish flavors, this might not be the experience you're hoping for. I truly hope the kitchen revisits the recipes and presentation.
