This was our second visit to Vanilla Spice and it was equally as good as the first. Staff were very welcoming, attentive and accommodating. We were undecided on a couple of dishes and the waitress helped us make a choice which was a good one. The food was very tasty and portions were generous. There was some food left over and the staff asked if we wanted to take it home which was great but decided not to. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning again soon.

📍Vanilla Spice Newport X Roar Beer Last week we went to Vanilla Spice in Newport for some premium Indian cuisine. We started with a pint of Roar beer, a premium vegan lager, which works perfectly with any food with a touch of spice. After some chicken pakoras and vegetable samosas we were ready for mains. First was the Vanilla spice mixed grill, an absolute meat feast including chicken, lamb, kebab and king prawns. Then chicken korma with rice and naan bread. For incredible food and refreshing beer, check them out. Thanks for having us! [INVITE] Full review on socials: @thefemalephysicist

Had a lovely evening here with some work collegues. The food was stunning and the service was brilliant and fast. It was a big group and they handled it so easily. Prices were great too.

Stone cold, "Covid-level" bland, and refried rubbish. I used to love Vanilla Spice, but after tonight’s Valentine’s takeaway, I will never return. We haven’t had an Indian in ages and were looking forward to a treat, but this ranks as the worst meal I have had in over 42 years. I picked the order up myself and was made to wait 10 minutes at the counter. Despite my Tesla being pre-warmed while I waited and living only 3 miles away, the entire meal was stone cold by the time I got it home. The quality was appalling: The Chips: These were clearly pre-warmed and refried several times until they were nothing but tough, cold, starchy cardboard. They were genuinely inedible. The Flavor: It was like the sensation of having Covid—everything was functionally tasteless. The mint sauce and keema naan were flavorless voids. The Curries: The only things with any taste were the curries, but they were disgusting and completely overpowered by coconut. No spice, no depth, just coconut mush. We only managed a few mouthfuls before we couldn't stomach any more. To serve a loyal customer old, cold, and tasteless food after making them wait at the counter for it is a disgrace. Thank you, Vanilla Spice, for ruining a lovely Valentines night in with my girlfriend.

Table of 13 this evening for my mums birthday, absolutely beautiful restaurant, decorated to a high standard. All the staff wete smiling, attentive and even had banter with us which was really nice an we felt so comfortable. The food was absolutely spot on from the starters to the mains, all super fresh, hot and tasty. Plates were cleared efficiently and we were not rushed even though there was a large group waiting to be seated. Would 1000% recommend and will definitely be returning, may even become my new Indian delivered 😁 thank you to all the staff for such a pleasant evening.
