Good curry, enjoyed the food. Service was very quick on arrival, drinks delivered and food ordered swiftly. Starters came out soon after but there was quite a wait for mains, longer than expected even with a variety of dishes ordered for group of 10.

Had some lovely food on 8th February. Friendly and fast service, party of 6. We were booked in for 17.30 so very quiet but perfect for our occasion, as expected, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and overall experience. Will be back. Highly recommended. Thanks to all involved.

We have eaten at the Lahore on a few occasions over the last couple of months, we have always put up with the abrupt, sometimes very rude manner of the short man ( definitely suffering from short man syndrome! ) who has served us , not only to us, but the rude way he speaks to other customers & whilst taking takeaway orders, due to the food always being very good, but last night was definitely our last visit due to very poor service, he made snide comments when we asked to change tables that we’d only just sat down at ! Also the man pictured, would almost constantly keep coming over to our table lifting & shaking the beer bottles & hovering over us waiting for us to finish with the rice / curry serving plates etc, also he stank of stale tobacco smoke ! To top it off, we waited 25 minutes for the bill, after requesting it three times.

We tried this fantastic tucked away little restaurant for the first time last night after reading about it online and thought we'd give it a go. We booked a table just an hour beforehand and were told no problem just come along and when we turned up we found it was just beginning to get busy at 7.30pm. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the first moment and very helpful when I asked some questions about dishes suitable to my girlfriends tastes and needs they were more than obliging in answering. After a very short wait the food itself was absolutely superb beginning with the perfectly fresh and crispy poppadums and vibrantly colourful pickle tray which contained some really appetising and tasty selections. Before long the main courses arrived and they certainly did not disappoint as they tasted just as good as they looked as well as being generously portioned. The spiciness of the biryani that I'd enquired about was just as I'd been assured it would and all of the food was fresh, colourful and full of flavour. The peshwari naan and saag paneer side dish were also absolutely outstanding. The prices also deserve a mention as being very reasonable especially when compared to the other couple of great restaurants we have frequented in newport. I think this place tops those both in terms of cost and very slightly in quality too. The food itself feels very light and somewhat less rich and oily than most other places which we really found to be a bonus as we left fee

I've ordered a Chicken Curry online and it tasted like rubbish and the chicken tasted like paper mache with no flavor, the rice was plain and when I called them up to complain they only offered a discount on our next order instead of fixing the order even though I received it as a collection. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
