I just love simple eateries with proper good food! I have ate here so many times from biryani, tawa , lamb curry and the best masala fish. We now have fish and chip Zaiqa version every now and then. I would highly recommend it and to me these kind of atmosphere and it’s food it’s the best.

This is hands down the best pakistani restaurant in the area. I have tried all their dishes and each one is amazing. Reasonably priced as well, although I wish they accepted card payments. Their nashta has become our Sunday weekly tradition. The halwa poori is yummy but the nihari and naan channay are finger licking good. The rogni naan is authentic naan and one of the best I have eaten in the UK. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Zaiqa Restaurant & Takeaway in Middlesbrough, and it was a great experience. The food was full of flavour, especially the curries and biryani, with generous portions at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Definitely a good spot for authentic South Asian food in town.

Zaiqa is one of those places you keep coming back to when you’re craving proper Pakistani food. Their lamb nihari is honestly the highlight — slow-cooked, full of flavour, and exactly how it should be. The meat is tender, the gravy is rich without being overpowering The halwa poori is just as good. Fresh, hot pooris with a nicely balanced halwa that isn’t overly sweet. It feels like a proper desi breakfast, the kind you actually look forward to. Overall, Zaiqa gets the basics right and does them really well. Good food, halal, and genuinely satisfying — definitely worth a visit if you’re after authentic Pakistani flavours.
