⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Out of This World: An Authentic Persian Masterpiece If you are looking for the best Persian cuisine in the city, look no further than Walnut Restaurant. From the moment the food hits the table, you know you’re in for something special. The flavors here aren't just good—they are truly "out of this world." The Highlights: The Mixed Grill Platter: The grill work is perfection. The Koobideh is juicy and seasoned to a tee, and the saffron-marinated chicken (Joojeh) has that beautiful, vibrant color and tender texture that only a master chef can achieve. The charred tomato and green chili add that essential smoky finish. Sabzi Khordan (The Starters): You can tell a lot about a Persian restaurant by their herbs. The platter of fresh mint, basil, and radish served with creamy feta, walnuts, and warm flatbread was incredibly fresh and the perfect palate cleanser. The Verdict: The presentation is elegant, the portions are generous, and the authenticity is unmatched. Whether you are a long-time fan of Persian food or a newcomer, Walnut Restaurant will exceed your expectations. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! ---

From the moment we sat down, the whole experience just flowed—the kind of easy, confident service that lets you settle in and focus on the important stuff: the food. We kicked things off with the starter platter, and honestly? Every single item stole a tiny piece of my heart. Fresh, bold, nothing hanging around in the kitchen too long—the dishes landed on our table quicker than my nephew spots Pidgey (my pet pigeon) on the bannister. Then came the lamb shank… unbelievably tender. It didn’t just “fall off the bone”—it practically handed in its resignation. Silky, rich, and cooked with the sort of patience I wish my smart meter had. My wife’s dishes were just as impressive. Every bite looked like it transported her somewhere peaceful—meat and chicken both juicy enough to make you rethink every dry dish you’ve ever tolerated in life. I didn’t manage to grab photos of everyone else’s food, but trust me, the table was full of happy faces and clean plates. If you’re thinking about coming here for dinner, do it. The food’s on point, the service feels natural, and the décor gives the place a warm, modern charm. Fully recommend.

Walnut Persian Restaurant is a top spot for serving up delicious Iranian cuisine! Their Mixed Grill Platter, a selection of grilled meats including lamb chops, chicken, & kobeda, served with rice, beans, & a small salad was absolutely mouthwatering & full of authentic flavours. The Lamb Shank, my personal favourite, is also a standout dish, cooked to tender perfection & served with saffron rice & barberries, adding that sweet & tangy flavor. Portions are also very generous!

First time going to walnut and I was disappointed. Bad attitude from the waitress that night (went on the night of 26/04 around 6.30pm). She wasn't rude or anything but just that she was pushing for us to order starters which shouldn't be that way. We were already ordering a 2 people grill platter for 2 of us and a dessert and we kind of knew from the reviews that the portion would be quite big. When we said no starters because I don't think we can finish everything, she then lied to us saying the food will take quite a while so we'll be waiting for a long time without starters. In reality, the food arrived within 15 minutes. She then gave us bottled water when we ordered tap. I am not sure if there's a need to push customers to spend more money than what they want to order. I found it kind of annoying and it made me less willing to come back again. The food was okay though, nothing too fantastic. The other waiters were nice.

Visited Walnut Persian Restaurant on curry’s mile Manchester, restaurant ambiance was good. We ordered platter number 37 which was enough for two people , platter contains one kubaida kebab, one skewer of chicken boneless and one skewer of boneless lamb, rice, grilled tomato, salad and grilled green chilli, Overall taste was good but it was not as delicious Persian food as tried in London Bahesht restaurant. Kebab taste was really good but chicken and lamb skewers were average taste. We ordered lime Mojitto drink, which I didn’t like much and price was also bit high. This was good to visit once, will not prefer to visit regularly.
