We went there for my wife’s birthday and had the Ramadan seven-course tasting menu. Everything tasted absolutely amazing and the service was excellent. The waiters were always coming around to check if everything was okay and asking if we wanted our drinks topped up, which made the experience feel very attentive. There was also a prayer area outside which was really important for us and something we really appreciated. I do understand the price point. For the two of us it came to around £230, which reflects the premium quality of the food and the location. However, because of the cost, it’s not somewhere we would visit regularly. Still, it was a lovely experience for a special occasion.

We had a wonderful experience at Great Chase! The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was truly amazing, with staff who were attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. We especially appreciated the nice prayer area, which made our experience even more comfortable. Amaan was incredibly helpful and considerate when accommodating our dietary changes, ensuring everything was just right for us. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Review is combined in with my wife’s and my view. Compared to last year this year took a significant decline. Barely touched any of my food £79 hit💔. wasn’t a big fan of the salad tasted very tangy - the 3rd option on the menu, Mushroom soup was mid 2/5 compared to last year Grilled fillet was nice but again last year Sunday roast was filling and felt good to eat. 3/5. Sorbet didn’t taste too much like passion fruit and giving off some tangy flavour Lemon tart again if we are having something tangy and lemony before having it 2x in a row isn’t gonna help. Nice atmosphere, customer service was much better last year, had a lovely guy giving intros on what all meals were, especially the bread and dates some people won’t know what it means. (3 dates is sunnah to eat in iftar so u have one date, then two pieces of bread with date butter). If offering a service of 7 course I feel like you have to introduce the meals and explain what it is ect.

The restaurant makes a strong first impression: reception is warm, service attentive, and the room clearly aspires to something elevated. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to the ambition. The cooking leans heavily into sweetness, often at the expense of balance and depth. Portions are generous, but generosity can’t compensate for dishes that add little to the palate beyond sugar and glaze. The overall effect is pretentious rather than refined. Cocktails are cloyingly sweet, lacking restraint or complexity. • Yakitori glazed mackerel (2/5): Overpowered by sweetness, masking the natural richness of the fish. • Roast lamb with harissa (3/5): Acceptable, but dry; the harissa offers some interest without fully rescuing the dish. • Confit roast chicken (1/5): Surprisingly bland and tasteless, with none of the depth or comfort the technique promises. • Chocolate mousse (2/5): Overly sweet and texturally flat, closer to a cheap dessert than a considered finish. This is a restaurant with ambition, polish, and service already in place. What it lacks is a confident, disciplined kitchen capable of delivering flavor, balance, and purpose on the plate.

Iftar Menu review: Service was great and atmosphere is lovely however the Iftar menu was extremely underwhelming. It was not nice! And I do usually really like their Sunday roasts etc and always recommend this place to others. Opinions on the Iftar tasting menu: - Bread + Date Butter w/ Stuffed Date, this was nice - Lamb Bon Bons, very meaty which is great but very dry. Could’ve had more sauce or something. 5/10 - Citrus + Fennel Carpaccio, interesting salad but what was this? I did not enjoy it. Was not nice. Once again dry and bits of random vegetables and grapefruit on a plate. - Black Garlic + Wild Mushroom Soup, this was tasty. Great flavour and warm however could’ve paired with some bread - Binchotan Grilled Beef Fillet (Served Medium), we upgraded to wellington beef and I was so excited to eat this but SOO EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. It was dry due to there not being enough sauce or gravy whatever it was they drizzled ontop. Pastry was very salty. Hard to swallow, genuinely I did not expect this and I had high expectations for this place. Presentation is nice ok but it did not taste appetising. Perhaps if I had more brown sauce or gravy with this wellington it would be better but no? Why soo dry! It was horrible. I did not enjoy it. - Passionfruit Sorbet w/ Lime Zest Lemon Brulee Tart, very basic boring dessert. It was alright. Overall the Iftar menu is NOT worth the expense and try. I do not recommend this. After a long day of fasting I’m not trying to eat dry food that’
