had such incredible food (the cheese pull on the cheese bites were another level!). They are really good value for money and very generous with the portions. The service from Finn and Tari was attentive and to detail - will be returning again

The Fat Hippo is the kind of restaurant I’d visit all the time if it were in my home country. The staff were very friendly and extremely mindful of our group’s allergies; the waiter even double-checked with the kitchen to ensure everything was safe. The burgers were incredible—I had the Wild Bill with BBQ sauce and it was delicious. You can choose from several fry options; we went with the hand-cut chips and they were amazing. The place is quiet, cozy, and very well-located. The bathrooms were spotless, though it’s worth noting you have to go down a small flight of stairs to reach them. We would definitely go back; it’s perfect for both large and small groups!

Food was fantastic, it was one of the best burgers I've had while in Scotland. Servers were very lovely, we didn't see them too often but we did go at a very quiet time. Also I would drink whatever sauce they put on the dirty waffles like it was so good

What a find! A fabulous burger restaurant. Amazingly fresh & tasty burgers coupled with really friendly staff. Great portion size & well priced. I highly recommend this place & will be back. Thanks to front of house who managed to find a table for four with no reservation.

I had an amazing time at Fat Hippo Edinburgh! I had the Semi-Parmed Life with fries and the Mars Attack and they were both delicious!! The staff (Ru, Alice, Jayke and Tyler) were all so friendly and helpful and the service was so quick! A really lovely meal!
