  I recently spent three days in Eastbourne and visited Dem Shis Restaurant there — and it was absolutely wonderful. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. I ordered sigara böreği and Ali Nazik (a delicious dish made with tender chicken in a rich tomato sauce). Everything was incredibly flavorful and tasted truly authentic. I loved it so much that I wish we had Turkish food of this quality back home in Austria. A fantastic dining experience — highly recommended! Definitley seen you soon again in February 🌻🌸

  I know this will sound like a bold claim but having visited the place over two dozen times now, I can confidently say that Dem Shish does Turkish food in the UK as perfectly as they do it in Turkey without missing a beat. The mains are filled with grilled lamb and chicken dishes that should suit every taste palette. For those like me who get overwhelmed by a big menu... take my word and order one of their lambs: ribs, chops, shanks... you simply can't go wrong with either. And if you're hitting the restaurant with a friend after a solid workout with appetite in tow, strongly recommend the Dem Shish platter. It will have an assortment of grilled meats served on a bed of rice (I like mine served separately) cooked to absolute perfection -- and if it's cheat day, upgrade to a side of chips! If you're lucky, Sidad and Isla are at the tables and Ahmad's at the bar. They will start you off with a great conversation, as well as make recommendations that can make the harshest critics come back for more. Great bunch of friendly faces who are on top of their game. The food is incredible... the atmosphere, electric - especially on the weekends - and the service, snappy! You can't go wrong with this one. Been my comfort food for a while now and doesn't look like that will change any time soon.

  Had the most amazing time at Dem Shish. The food was incredible so full of flavours and left leaving full with their great portion sizes. The staff were so friendly and accommodating I went with my partner and my 7month old baby and was a little nervous to how it would be taking her to dinner. Each member of staff went above and beyond to accommodate my little girl and make her as much a part of our evening. Highchair provided, moving table to fit my pushchair, and the owner even provided her with mashed foods to suit her needs. I normally take snacks as most places don’t cater to younger babies but this was not needed. Massive shout out to the owner for making our experience one of a kind with his friendly service. 10/10 For the food and 10/10 for amazing services. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be going back again soon :)

  We came here on a fairly busy Saturday with my family. The staff were attentive and friendly. They advised me of the chef special that been added to the menu today so I decided to give it a go. It was delicious! A rich, creamy sauce with perfectly cooked chicken. Upon finishing my meal, the staff told me I was actually the first person to try this dish so I would definitely recommend ordering this. I will be back!

  The food was really good and Customer service 👌 was excellent. Apo was polite and recommended a good meal for us. Definitely going back.
