  We went for a belated Birthday/Valentines meal. Food was amazing and cant fault it. We ordered the following: POPPADOMS WITH DIPS PATAKHA KARAHI - (Nice and Spicy and made with Naga Chillies) METHI CHICKEN PILAU RICE - shared as we wanted a naan and bombay potatoes BOMBAY POTATOES GARLIC NAAN - Lovely, soft and fresh.

  We visited this restaurant on my birthday and it was such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was prepared to perfection and full of flavour. The ambiance was lively and welcoming, It really made my special day even more memorable. Overall, I had an amazing time and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. A nice place to go for Indian street-style food with a modern touch. I’ll definitely be coming back!

  Wanted to treat newlywed family members, both of whom were visiting us for the first time. Nicco Restaurant, chosen by my better half, most certainly exceeded our expectations. It was our first visit and after this experience it certainly won’t be the last. Easily accessible and situated on the outskirts of Derby City in Pride park. Plenty of onsite free parking available. A warm welcome awaited us once we entered the modern building and its equivalent seating area which was topped off with its seasonal decor. Our dishes consisted of Papadums and chutneys as nibbles and small plates of Prawn Coliwada (Crispy fried battered tiger prawns) and Spicy Calamari. Delicious! Main dishes were Nicco specialties of Marinated Tandoori Sea Bass with Bombay potatoes and salad. Another specialised dish was the Amritsari Fish and Chips. Fish and chips with a spicy twist. The third dish was Patakha Karahi which is in essence a very hot spicy surf and turf bhuna style dish consisting of chicken, prawns and lamb, mouthwatering and delicious but make sure you have a drink close to hand! And last but not least was Nicco Chicken Tikka. All were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We were looked after by a wonderful young lady (Apologies for not getting her name) top service and a credit to Nicco Restaurant. Highly recommend but booking is a must as it does get busy.

  Lovely restaurant - it was my first time here yesterday evening. I had the sumac chicken tikka with Bombay potatoes, salad and yogurt dip with naan bread. It was delicious. The menu offers a lot to choose from. The atmosphere was lovely too with Christmas lights and a live singer. I will be coming back😍

  The food was ok but the lamb was tough. The food seamed slightly under seasoned as it was missing the punch you expect from Indian food. Calamari starter 8/10 Lamb curry 6/10 Mushroom rice 6/10 Cheese naan 9/10 Onion bhajis 7/10 I’ve had much better Indian food from standard takeaways for half the price.
