Maher's Tawa, Grill and Karahi

  Me and my partner ordered a £45 collection from here tonight 10:50pm ish and waited an hour from when we ordered until it was ready. Fine, I’m patient. But when we took out our popadoms they were cold, overcooked, oily and had a smell and taste of old oil. We then tried our lamb chops starter and were mildly satisfied, they had decent flavour but 50/50 bone meat ratio and were clearly pre cooked and then reheated as they were dry and overcooked. We thought, ok, failed on popadoms, failed on starters, hopefully they can bring it back and wow us with some delicious curry. We were sorely disappointed. They were so oily and the sauces had split. The chicken was not seasoned or marinated and had absolutely no flavour. And There was way more bone and cartilage than actual meat. We have stopped trying to force it down our throats and have been left hungry. Best part of this meal is the 2 free Tupperwares. How sad.

  I ordered chili paneer, but it didn't look like chili paneer. It felt like plain paneer with tamarind, onions and tomato sauce mixed in and it's not even fried. I also add food photo. I'm very disappointed with your food. It's not good for health.

  I went derby to try out the new juices 4 life and before that we tried a Pakistani Restaurant Maher Restaurant. The food was lovely especially the chicken Karahi it was freshly made with vibrant taste. I would highly recommend this place. You have to taste the food to believe the food.

  I am a regular customer and I told you not to send me lamb with a lot of bones, yet you continue to do so. The lamb also has a thick layer of fat on top which I cannot eat, so it is a waste of money. In addition, the lamb chops were burnt.

  What a wonderful dining experience! From the moment I walked in, everything felt welcoming and well taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish showed real attention to quality and taste. A special mention goes to the fabulous lady Sara, whose dealing and service truly made the experience exceptional. She was incredibly polite, attentive, and nice, with such a warm and genuine attitude that made us feel valued and comfortable throughout. Her hospitality added a personal touch that really stood out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
