I went here because my sister, who’s a bit of a foodie, said the food in their Haywards Heath branch, is very good, but I was also worried about the mixed reviews for the Crawley branch. I went there with my partner for an early lunch and it was very quiet when we arrived but it got busier. The staff immediately welcomed us and once settling in we went to get our food. I had a lamb (most probably mutton) curry, prawn curry and pilau rice. I loved the lamb ( mutton) curry and if I had more of an appetite would have had seconds. It was very flavoursome and beautifully cooked. I also had Tarka Dahl and Bombay potatoes. Both were excellent. Dahl is one of my favourites so I really appreciated the freshness and the taste. My partner had a bread pudding for dessert and it was incredible, jut like homemade. I had fruit, halva (possibly) and ice cream. I don’t live in Crawley anymore but if I’m in the area again I would go. It’s super reasonable and just under £14 per head. Thank you Tamashah. 🙏😊👍

We were the only ones at the restaurant at the time. Food and service: neither was outstanding. The waiter tried to compensate for you but don’t think I’ll be visiting again.

Terrible service and food – do not recommend! If you want to ruin your impression of Indian cuisine, this is the place to go! The dishes were overcooked and dry, some were impossible to pierce with a fork. Everything tasted like it was made with old, terribly bitter oil. The vegetables were spoiled – rotten tomatoes and cucumbers. The most shocking thing was seeing a staff member take leftover food from a customer’s plate and throw it back into the communal dish! It really makes you question whether they follow any hygiene standards or even throw away expired products. The service was just as bad – the staff was indifferent and ignored complaints. While we were there, a group of children arrived, and I can only hope that none of them got food poisoning. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant!

We had a very unpleasant buffet experience at Tamasha, Crawley. The service was poor and confusing when we asked for water or fresh juice, the staff member gave unclear answers and said only bottled juice was available. They didn’t speak properly English .Difficulty to understand what they are saying. The food quality was disappointing, especially the dessert section. The rice pudding had no sweetness or taste, and when we mentioned this, the staff suggested mixing sugar syrup from gulab jamun into it, which was unprofessional and unacceptable. Overall, the food lacked flavour and quality. Staff behaviour was rude and defensive when we gave feedback, rather than polite or professional. Most concerning was the lack of allergy-friendly food options for children. Our 3 year old child has allergies, and there were no suitable items available. When we brought simple food from outside to avoid our child going hungry, staff initially objected. Only after speaking to the manager were we allowed to feed our child. Overall, this was a very poor dining experience with bad food, rude service, and no consideration for children with food allergies. We would not recommend this restaurant.
