Visited Saray for a sit-down meal and had a genuinely solid experience. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and quiet enough to actually enjoy a conversation, which already puts it ahead of many places. Food quality was consistently good. Portions were generous, meat was well cooked, and everything tasted fresh rather than over-seasoned. This is more traditional Turkish cooking than trend-driven plates, which I appreciated. Nothing felt rushed or careless. Service was polite and efficient without hovering. Dishes came out in good time, and the staff were happy to answer questions about the menu. The interior is better than you’d expect from the outside—spacious seating, booths for groups, and a relaxed atmosphere that works well for families, couples, or longer meals. Advice for future visitors: • Best for a relaxed meal, not a quick stop. • Good option if you want Turkish food that’s consistent rather than experimental. • Works well for small groups and family dinners.

The Saray wasn't my first choice but I was swayed after seeing how full the house was on a Wednesday night. Amazing atmosphere, amazing service. Ali saw to me, my whole visit checking on but not imposing. He promptly checked if they could adjust my choice on the mix grill. The food was lovely, I ordered a mix shish grill accompanied with rice and side chips. Sadly the food went cold very fast as I was by a fan. Turkish tea and baklava to finish the dinner off. A lovely time and left feeling full and happy.

The food was a bit on the dry side but average. Customer service was brilliant; we were given Turkish tea and baklava on the house which was very generous. The atmosphere was beautiful, pretty lights and paintings.

Generally what a wonderful and diverse place Cardiff is! There's so many great places to eat, this place is definitely one. Originally thinking of dining out at a popular pizza joint but for some reason I'd stumbled on Turkish cuisine. Saw Saray reviews on Google and being local to where we were stopping this was the one. Apart from finding a parking spot on Saturday night and my eyes being bigger than my stomach there's only praise for this wonderful dining experience. The place was busy with diners, attentive staff and decent facilities. As I'd ordered a ton of food which we couldn't finish in one sitting the staff were very helpful with providing appropriate containers which for me extends the experience to the comfort of my own home. Starters included Calamari rings, sausages, delicious Humus with a platter for 4 as mains finished off with Turkish tea and some baklava. This place brings a new meaning to Turkish Delight. Thank you staff for a great family meal experience.

Lovely gem of a restaurant on Cardiff's City Road. The restaurant serves halal food and has a prayer room which was very helpful as we were travelling. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We shared the large platter which consisted of a variety of grills, rice and chips - a very healthy portion indeed, enough 6/7 people.
