Had an amazing meal tonight. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable and passionate about the food. The tiger prawns were delicious! Drinks were wonderful - must try the non alcoholic cocktails. We went with their recommendations of 4 different puddings between us and they were wonderful- especially the tiramisu and brûlée. Will definitely come back when in Cambridge again.

Lovely restaurant!!! I feel like I learned so much about Bengali food. The owner is so friendly; he even gave me and my parents free chais (and their chai is so delicious I highly recommend it). I think my favorite thing on the menu is probably the bhapa prawns! Such a delicate but flavorful dish. Everyone at the restaurant is so kind and accommodating, too. :)

The food was fantastic, both beautiful to look at and very tasty. The waitstaff are very attentive and the food arrived very promptly. They also have a great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails and other drinks. There's also a good selection of vegetarian dishes as well. The decor is modern and stylish but not sterile, and to top it all off, the prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Today I visited Golpo bengal in Cambridge with my husband. I live in London, and we were visiting Cambridge for the day. As we were feeling hungry, I was happy to see a Bangladeshi restaurant and suggested to my English husband that we try it. When we entered, a staff member asked if we had a reservation. I said no, as I didn’t realise booking was required. He told us that all tables were reserved and that we could only sit at a small standing corner table. Although this made us uncomfortable, we agreed and ordered our food. While sitting there, I checked the restaurant’s website and saw that tables were still available for reservation at that time. I immediately booked a table online for the current time slot and showed the confirmation to the staff member. He responded by saying that I had “just booked it now.” While that may be true, the website clearly showed availability, and many tables in the restaurant remained empty — even after we finished our meal. This experience made me feel disappointed and uncomfortable. As customers, we expect honesty and fair treatment. No customer should feel judged based on appearance, clothing, or background. Transparency and respect are very important in hospitality. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all customers are treated equally and professionally in the future.

The food was amazing. I ordered the tawa murgh biryani and it was the best biryani I’ve ever had; it was fragrant, and the chicken was tender and fell off the bone. The servers were very kind and patient. As an American, we have to do better because im considering getting a plane ticket just to return here.
