We visited Cambridge for the day and this experience was the highlight. It was my husbands birthday and we have high standards of North African food. It is really really good, recommend! The food is very flavoursome, the meat is tender and cooked over the grill for added flavour. The music, lighting and decor was perfect and authentic which elevated our experience. We came on valentines and due to being a Saturday it was extra busy however the staff worked really well and extremely friendly. We took three started between two which was enough and were served with bread and then ordered the mixed grill for one and shared it between two which was an ample amount of food. Yacine looked after us and made us feel very welcome. If you are interested I say definitely try this! Thanks

Deserves 10 stars, honestly. The food was delicious, the mint tea was like drinking liquid joy, and everyone was really nice. Brilliant atmosphere, and I’m already planning my next visit. Large selection of vegetarian and vegan options. I went at a non-peak time, and service was very quick.

Great overall experience. Enjoyed the food. Had a really tasty grilled fish that came with prawns with rice and salad. Such good flavour with spices. Also nice to be able to have our dog sitting outside next to the counter despite the place not being dog friendly inside.

The mints were awesome. Jk I love the fabric on the roof👍 Jk I love the tiles and crockery. No in all seriousness my boyfriend brought me here for my birthday, and we have had the most lovely evening! Amazing place for a date night, we are certainly coming back. Brilliant dishes, with real care put into each food item. We were so well welcomed and Nerida took really great care of us all evening. Also I am celiac and there were amazing gluten free options. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I went back to Al Casbah after nearly 20 years and it brought back great memories from when I used to live in Cambridge. The ambience is fabulous and the place still has that rustic charm that makes it feel warm and authentic. The food was completely on point, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. It remains one of the best rustic spots in Cambridge to enjoy a proper meal. Do not miss out 😋
