  Harmony was probably the best waitress that we have ever had!! She was so friendly she made my husbands birthday so special, after the day had been going wrong, couldn’t believe the special touches she did, we were blown away! She certainly turned my husbands birthday around! The food has to be the nicest Indian style food we have eaten, absolutely deliciously and the atmosphere in the resturant was fantastic we will definitely be back when we next visit Brighton! A great experience 11/10!!! Highly recommend thanks so much!

  We had a fantastic lunch at Dishoom - The Permit Rooms. Having visited other Dishoom locations before, we arrived with high expectations — and it absolutely delivered. The interior is beautifully designed, set across several different levels, creating a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. It feels stylish without being overwhelming, making it perfect for both casual lunches and special get-togethers. The food was outstanding, especially the crispy spinach, chilli chips, and the rich, flavourful black dahl. The mocktails were also excellent — creative, refreshing, and a great complement to the small plates. It’s an ideal spot for sharing dishes around the table and trying a bit of everything. The service truly stood out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, particularly with children and dietary allergies, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and a lovely setting in Brighton.

  The best meal I've had in a long time! Order food like a tapas, we shared a curry, rice and two other dishes plus naan which was ample for two people. Flavours where amazing. The best bit was the mango lassi cocktail which was divine!!!!! Would go back just for that 🥰 Best birthday meal!

  Highly recommend. The naan breakfasts were one of the tastiest things I've ever had and the he relish was perfect combo. The breakfast (see pic) was delicious with a excellent level of spices but not heat that would ruin the flavour

  After all the hype and glowing reviews thought we would try Dishoom for a evening meal . Loved the warm welcome by staff and the ambiance was great very inviting. Very busy Thursday night , so always book . Got advice from waitress about what was hot and mild really helpful. Food was great , full of flavour and freshly made . Sadly the table was at the front of restaurant and not enough space , being knocked by everyone, glad we left dog at home not sure where she would have gone . Overall £75 for 1 starter , 2 curry’s 2 rice and 2 beers was on the high side . Didn’t like the mandatory 12% service charge for the 2 of us ! Rude ! But would still recommend it .
