We had the Zulu Boerewors starter which is a large portion and can be shared. The Madagascan Half chicken was good and is cooked in a selection of sauces. The pizza was very good - we tried the Tribez Special and African Supreme toppings. Service was excellent throughout. One kids meal is free ( sunday to thursday) if you spend >£25. Adequate selection for kids. Street parking. Recommended.

We had a lovely experience at Tribez with my family. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the food was cooked to perfection. Although we forgot to take pictures, our clean plates speak for themselves.

Went to this place yesterday anticipating spem great food and service was extremely disappointing! Arrived to a empty restaurant at 1730 to open fast with my wife and 3 kids. Immediately asked if have a a reservation which I did and then told to sit on any of booths. The restaurant was freezing cold waiter advised would put heating on. I placed my order and others started coming into the restaurant. Fast opened and a hour in to ordering my food others who arrived after me are getting their food served before me. I ask the waiter what's going on I am told 'as your order is biggest your food gets made after everyone elses' confused by this challenged hom as to why this is said we will levae if food not here in 10 mins he comes back to say he can give part of the emails chips onion Rings etc now rest food would come once made. Called for owner or manager who came nearly an hour and half in now and they started to give chips etc I had enough and asked where is my food he said its on the grill at that point we left the restaurant. Absolute joke service, being first in a restaurant and fiest to order i expect my order first unless its salad starters etc. I could see full on meals being bought out to others and their explanation made no sense. Maybe due to ramadan they were unprepaired but that should be no excuse for poor service! If they came to me to advise food is running late have some free chips, i would have stayed and been understanding but this was not the case i had to

Popped into Tribes to try it out. Food was alright, nothing bad but nothing that really stood out either. The burger was decent, and the mixed platter had a bit of everything but didn’t really pack much flavour. The place itself looks a bit tired – not awful, just could do with a bit of a refresh. Biggest downside for me was the price. The mixed platter was around £20 and the burger meal was £10, which felt a bit pricey for what you get. Overall, not somewhere I’d rush back to – didn’t feel like good value for money.
