I took my 7yr old son here whilst on a Christmas shopping trip on a Saturday lunchtime. There was a small queue to get in, some people were told to come back later but as it was just the two of us we were seated quickly. Personally I tend to order off the app, it easier I find. The food was spot on, exactly as expected. Staff were good and were attentive and pleasant, couldn’t ask for much more really.

The chicken breast on the chicken burger was really badly prepared. All fatty skin around the outer layer and when cutting into the breast , the black vein/tendon like material was extremely noticeable. Massive let down as the bun and sauce tasted nice. Shame. Won’t be returning.

We ate about 2.30pm on Sunday and it was busy but we did get a table straight away. We were then left to it - there didn’t appear to be any table service. No one explained how to order - the guy at the door just gave us menus and showed us to the table. Last time we went (almost a year ago), our order was taken at our table. This time there was a QR code at the table so we figured we had to use that. Luckily Nando’s had wifi I could access. We managed to put in our order but then it wanted us to log in and when we created an account it emptied out basket so we had to start again. There was nowhere to alter anything or to ask that starters come with the main. Once we did work it all out and order, the food came very quickly. We could see that we had to go and get our own cutlery, napkins and sauces etc. We both had sweet potato wedges and the butterfly chicken with broccoli and rainbow slaw (they had run out of corn on the cob) and it was all absolutely delicious. We were impressed with the speed the food arrived and with the taste and quality. The rainbow slaw was now drowned in mayonnaise and tasted fresh and the broccoli was cooked perfectly - slightly al dente rather than the soggy stuff you can get in some places. We would definitely go back and would recommend the food. It’s just a shame at the lack of service but it saves you paying a tip as there was no one to tip, and the bill via the QR link had not added on the service that most places do.

Must try an Indian restaurant. After a very long time, I had quite tasty and spicy food here. It's one of the few Indian restaurants which kept the authenticity and taste of Indian food. If you miss that Indian spicy taste then you should visit this place. Also, you will get multiple varieties of sauces along with bottomless soft drinks.

On 04/01/2025 we are at the Basingstoke, Festival Place Nandos. This was delightful. We ordered a medium boneless sharing platter with two large sides; peri chips and garlic bread. Plus drinks and a wing roulette. The speed of the service was impeccable for our meal, especially considering how busy the place was. We actually sat with a table of 8 (all family and partners). We ordered at different times so expected a short wait between meals, this was fine. The chicken was delicious. The breasts were slightly charcoaled which we don’t mind, but others might. They were however juicy, and this is at times difficult to achieve as it is a thicker cut and can often be somewhat dry, but not on this occasion. The thighs were top notch. In all, the only request would be for there to be a bit more sauce when cooking the chicken. Sauce on the side is never the same as marinated and cooked. Enjoyable nonetheless, 9/10. The peri chips, very good. Not enough Peri salt for us, but easily fixed when asked how our meal was and they bought over additional sachets. We are possibly amongst the unique group of people that like the empty, crispy, hollow chips; the ones people often leave on their plates at the end of their meal. Not us. We’ve had days where 40-50% were cooked to this perfection (in our eyes). On this occasion, 10%, lowering our score to 8/10, but not to be misread, still unbeatable across most restaurants. The garlic bread, two of four were unfortunately cooked slightly more
