  Gamla Masters is one of those restaurants you find yourself wanting to return to. The menu is small, in the best possible way. Every dish feels thoughtful and well-executed, with high-quality ingredients taking center stage without unnecessary fuss. I had the carpaccio to start, thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned, with just the right balance of acidity but I added some salt. For the main course, I went with the tenderloin with pepper sauce, swapping out the fries for a fresh salad, which worked beautifully. Everything was spot on, meat perfectly cooked. The wine list isn’t huge but it’s well-curated, with some excellent options. I chose a Bordeaux which went really well with the meat. The atmosphere is cozy yet relaxed, with a personal touch that makes you feel genuinely welcome. Gamla Masters is a charming, reliable and timeless favorite in Visby, perfect for both a casual dinner and a more special night out.

  Hotel St Clemens made a reservation for us at G:A Masters, and I am glad they did. The food and service were incredible. Would recommend this restaurant without hesitation!

  Very happy with our decision to eat here. The lamb was not gamey at all, tender & delicious (save a piece of the complimentary bread for the sauce) and the red sole was flavorful & flaky. We enjoyed the chocolate dessert as well as the rhubarb panna cotta. Classy atmosphere & romantic. All the main courses were gluten free too!!!

  We had our Christmas dinner at **Gamla Masters** in Visby and it was a great last minute decision. From the ambiance, the beautifully plated dishes to the very attentive and warm reception of the Owner reflected the restaurant’s dedication to quality and culinary artistry. We started with appetizers that perfectly set the tone. The seafood dish, a medley of prawns in a rich broth served with toasted bread, was exquisite—fresh, flavorful, and warming on a wintry night. The steak tartare, paired with its classic accompaniments, was prepared with precision, highlighting the quality of the meat and balanced seasoning - shredded coconut, capers, sliced red onions, fresh egg and mild spicy sauce. For the mains, we enjoyed sliced deer in mushroom sauce and lamb shank. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender, paired with creamy mashed potatoes and vibrant garnishes, while the reindeer dish stood out with its delicate doneness and creamy mushroom sauce that brought the flavors together seamlessly. Each plate looked stunning. The dessert course was a delightful conclusion to the meal. The crème brûlée was silky and perfectly caramelized, while the berry chocolate panna cotta was refreshing, with a vibrant burst of flavors from the fresh fruit and mint garnish.   You should definitely make a reservation. The food was as delicious as any of the top restaurants in big cities. The sole was perfectly cooked and flaky. The lamb was so tender and juicy. Everything about the experience was exquisite.
