Amazing restaurant on the beach of the town. We had a lovely dinner and a great pavlova. Definitely recommended for a celebration on some other occasion!

I recently revisited John's Place, a restaurant I first experienced 30 years ago during my windsurfing days. This time, I brought my family along, and I was delighted to find that the food from the charcoal grill still tastes exceptional. I had a wonderful conversation with the owner about the old days and the restaurant's journey to the present. The food remains outstanding, and the service is impeccable. I am truly amazed by how well they've maintained their quality over the years.

A well located place next to beautiful Apelviken beach. Food was fantastic and service was prompt and very kind. The only detail is that prices are a little bit too high for the kind of food served, besides that it is quite nice!

Great steaks straight from their open grill. For starters we got the carpaccio, mushroom toast, and (the best) beef tartare. For mains we ordered the t-bone, sirloin, and pluma pork. Everything was really tender, and the sides/sauces were really tasty too. For the dessert we just ordered the crème brûlée to share, since we were all so full already… The service was great too, our waiter was very attentive and served our table with such energy and enthusiasm. You can tell this place is run very professionally, a true hidden gem in Varberg. Thank you to the whole team, and I’ll see you again soon next time we’re in town!
