This is a lovely old café/restaurant beside Gamla Uppsala's viking burial mounds and the medieval church. Opens at 10.00 it serves a variety of confectionery and a limited lunch menu. It's a good place to stop off at, after a walk around the mounds or if you have been on a longer walk. Dogs are welcome which is an added bonus and much appreciated.

We were seved by the owner, Kim. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of information and very polite. Off season but I had delicious cheesecake and cappuccino. I highly recommend this place.

Great little cafe with seating upstairs and outside. Variety of Swedish cakes and biscuits & teas. Also sandwiches etc and coffee. Reasonable prices. The best part: the old building and its decorations! Things to see in every room.

I had a day trip in Uppsala several months ago and was dining in this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food both looked and tasted amazing!!! I’m a person who doesn’t really eat pork often but the pork(bacon?) dish in this restaurant was so fabulous! The fish tasted good too but sadly was not in a big portion. They looked so lovely, didn’t they? 🩷

Good food. Good drink. Beautiful scenery. It was a little confusing at first as American tourists but once we got the ordering and picking up of food figured out (with some help) it was well worth it. Grilled meats were great and those potatoes were super good. And eating outside whole taking in the majesty of the location was peaceful and just plain amazing.
