Lovely intimate place although it was a work meal. Tried the reindeer meat and it was amazing! Service was really good, friendly and efficient.

We are new to the Jämtland region and got advised to go eat here. After all the stories we had quite high expectations. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. Perhaps for Swedish standards it's top notch, but we couldn't see it. The service and atmosphere are good, but the food is just okay. However, the quality of the food definitely doesn't justify the high prices. We eat out a lot, but never paid so much. To us it seems that you pay for the "high end status" of Dalwhinnie, but that you don't find this back in the quality of the food. We had better food for 1/3 of the price.

By Swedish standards, this place is superb when it comes to selection, decor, and atmosphere, recreating a British feel with a modern touch. Food is brilliant in both ends of the price range and the whiskies are plenty. Both times I've been here they even had several bottles of my favourite whisky (Octomore), which is a very rare find in Sweden. Highly recommended.

Dalwhinnie has an enormous selection of Whisky and Brandy, it's amazing. They are also very very good at making great drinks. If I recall correctly the owner is a several times Swedish champion in making drinks. It is a place i highly recommend.
