This was the first place we visited in Sweden and the first meat we had - and it was great! I ordered a vegtarian option, Swedish cheese pie with red onion, creme fraiche and seaweed caviar - it tasted real nice and I’ve never tried anything like this in my home country. The interior looks cool, you can fill up your plate with salads, garlic bread and drink as much water as you like. Highly recommended!

Overall, this place was surprisingly good and felt more like something one might find in Stockholm (price and atmosphere) than the local community. Food was good and of a higher end price point. The restaurant appeared almost full at 1700 which was a surprise! We will come back next time we’re hiking down in the area.

Felt like they were testing patience of everyone who hadn't booked hoping they would leave. Staff was very young, not very friendly and the food was good but very heavy. Very expensive. I live in Stockholm and wouldn't have paid that much for lunch. Place is really pretty though.

Friendly staff , great food, in a cosy setting. Loved spending our Saturday lunch here, over looking the blue waters. It was so nice we came back in the afternoon after a walk around the area and relaxed in their charming lounge area for a drink before taking the train back to Stockholm. Their desserts were also very yummy 😋

Do not be misled by this unassuming restaurant on the front at Nynäshamn. The cooking is superb and the wine list is comparable with anywhere you’ll find in any port. We had a bottle of Birichino which is one of my favourite wines. Lovely service, food and wine. If you have a chance to go there, don’t go anywhere else!
