  Kingfisher is a hidden gem in Mariestad! I went there for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly good the food was. Each dish was beautifully presented—truly a work of art that made the meal even more appetizing. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff provided such warm and friendly service, which made the experience even better. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and you can really tell they care about both the taste and the presentation. I’ll definitely come back every time I’m in Mariestad. Highly recommended!

  We've been here 5 years ago and after the first time, it was a must. And what can I say? It was even better than last time. Absolutely fabulous food, very friendly service and a selection of good whiskies. Made our day. Thank you! Update: We did it again! No visit to Mariestad without Kingfisher. It was, as always, a perfect evening. Amazing meals, very friendly staff, we had a long chat with the whisky-enthusiastic waiter and tried two of the Whiskies of High Coast Distillery, only made for Kingfisher. Looking forward to.our next visit to Kingfisher and the tasting of the last batch of whisky four Thank you, guys, for this special evening!

  The restaurant which is willing to do the best to feel comfortable. We have our dog with us and it’s no problem sit outside or inside. Your Wellcome. We tasted four different dishes and all of the was really nice. We will also make some changes with one for our 10 year old and it was easy to make.

  When you enter the restaurant you immediately sense that this is one step up. Beautiful decor and styling. Comfortable and comforting. The food is superb. We had between us the Tuna, Lamb fillet and Red Deer (roe hjort) and all was fabulously presented with flavours that makes your mouth water and pallet dance. The lamb came in a hot grill pan on a layer of vegetables. Fantastic! Service was excellent and the wine list had some excellent choices. They also have their own Swedish whisky blended to their recipe by my favourite distiller Mackmyra. The prices quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. One of the best restaurants I've been to. It is recommended to reserve.

  I love the wine rack, the design and the friendly staffs. The food dressing is an art! The chef is from Pakistan so the Indian food like chicken masala has original taste ;) the Cod plate was not similar to any cod I’ve ever seen! it is more than a restaurant in a small city! highly recommend :))
