Unforgettably At Al Habesha in Gothenburg, I had the Yebeg Kiltem Wott, a slow-cooked lamb shank stew in a rich, spicy sauce seasoned with berbere spice mix and the restaurant’s homemade spiced butter. It was served with injera (traditional Ethiopian sour flatbread), along with salad and the option of rice. The lamb was tender and full of deep, complex flavor, enhanced by the berbere’s heat and the richness of the spiced butter. The sauce was thick, bold, and deeply satisfying – perfect for soaking up with injera. The injera added tanginess and texture, while the fresh salad helped lighten the overall experience. This dish delivered on both flavor and tradition. It felt hearty, comforting, and beautifully spiced without being overwhelming. The staff once again provided warm and helpful service, making the experience personal and welcoming.

Very spacious, clean and pleasent Restaurant serving genuine Ethiopian cuisine.. Saeed welcomed me with a pleasent smile, even while he was unloading stuff. He made me comfortable and explained what was in the menu. My 1st time in an Ethiopian Restaurant. He suggested I take Bebeaynetu. That's their special. It's like a platter with Injera (Aapam in Tamil and Malayalam). Fermented rice batter used to make round dish on a hot plate 2 types of Daal (lentils) Beetroot dish 2 types of Succulent Potatoe dishes Tasty meat curry Salad Cottage Cheese Enough to stuff a person. Ambience, taste and service are spot on. Washroom is also clean. In Indian terminology we can say it's a Thaali. Certainly worth giving it a try.

Delicious Ethiopian food! We’ve been to Ethiopian restaurants in NYC and Paris and this is as good our favorite places. Servings are generous so we got take away boxes for our leftovers. It’s easily accessible from the tram stop.
